About Our Founder: Russ Zeigler

Russ Zeigler got his first taste of the restaurant business as a college student while pursuing his degree in business. What he did not know at the time is that he was training for his lifelong career! Russ has been part of the local Albuquerque restaurant scene for the past four decades. In late 1977, Russ and two partners opened the spectacularly successful Liquid Assets, and subsequently Assets Grill & Brewing Company—brewing beer in-house long before the brewery craze of today! Fast forward 40 years and Russ is super excited to welcome Albuquerque residents to his 6th restaurant endeavor in the Duke City, Groundstone!
